So many pluses, but the fans ain't one. Sucks. But even ut alum would love another game in Dallas. Can you imagine the Blvd?!?!?!

Another big plus, 3 of the largest corporate sponsors of NCAA athletics are Fortune 500 companies located in Dallas; AT&T, Southwest Airlines & Dr Pepper. I hope RGT is pursuing that angle.
I also think we could attract the casual sports fan.
Cost of season tickets to SMU FB - $99 Cost of parking to 1 Cowboy football game - $75
Assume we are B12, I think SMU's diehard fan base becomes 20k. You price our end zone season tickets at $50 or certain less desirable opponents such as Kansas or Iowa St at $7 per ticket, my bet is you could approach 40,000 average in ticket sales. Especially if they properly market the Blvd experience to the causal fan.
Also, Moody Coliseum would take excitement to a different level. UT would be 10x > UConn.

Let's all hope that RGT and his minions are giving this opportunity a lot more than just lip service.

BYU, Cincy, Memphis, Houston, UCF, and any real contenders, would laugh at the thought of such concessions.
The announcement of the actual expansion teams can't come soon enough, to finally end this nonsense.
Optimism is great I just hope everyone is prepared to shift their world view from p5 to d3 after a fall press release.

Somehow fail to see how the presence of Southwest Airlines, Dr. Pepper and AT&T in Dallas helps SMU's chances of getting in the Big 12. Explain?

We were before (I am 100% positive - straight from a non-SMU source to my ears that we were a serious candidate).

We don't have pine benches at SMU and that kid has wood splinters.
