Baylor won’t care about another losing season for SMU. Do ADs around the country (specifically Texas) recognize just how big a crater SMU was when Chad Morris arrived? I saw the 2014 team in person twice, and they were easily the worst FBS team I’ve seen in all my years of covering college football. There aren’t many coaches who would be a better fit at Baylor. Morris, like Art Briles, is a former high school coach who has already recruited well at SMU and could take that to the next level at Baylor. It’s a risky move, but Baylor would be well-served to take a shot at Morris, even if SMU struggles to a four or five-win season in 2016.
