We have to get to 4 wins somehow. If we have to show all our tricks just to beat a terrible UNT team, we aren't going to get there.

Rule 1: do what is necessary to beat UNT and Liberty
Rule 2: throw the kitchen sink at Tulane, Tulsa, ECU, and Baylor
Rule 3: do whatever works agents everyone else.

Normally, Baylor wouldn't be on the winnable list, but thier issues may make them vulnerable. As long as the game is close, we need to try anything in an attempt to steal a transformational win.

A team at our level needs to go all out in every game. There are not any "gimme" wins for SMU.

True. But that doesn't mean you don't try to beat them "heads up" before bring out the bells and whistles.

Baylor is the same Baylor as last year with just a bit less depth. They do not belong on a list of teams you think we can hang with. We play them at their place, they have a chip on their shoulder and it is not going to go well for us that game - just get used to the idea.

many others are winnable - just not that one.

Chip on their shoulder? Their team deserves all the crap and more for what happened.

Kinda wish Baylor played Rice this year to see what the band would do...

I expect that we will lose that game, but I don't think Baylor will be as good as in the past. I kind of doubt the participation in the offseason programs was what it should be.

As soon as Baylor hits the first bit of adversity this season, they will crumble. Hope it happens on Sept. 10

Exactly. If they keep their had on straight and play with a chip on their shoulder, we could be in for an epic beating - they still have a lot of talent.

But, their roster is very thin, the head coach is an unknown, and they have suffered from a lot of distractions over the Summer. If we can get to them early, we might have a chance. In particular, their QB (really their only QB) is coming off a serious injury and might react poorly to a few big hits.

i didn't say the chip on their shoulder was valid - I am just saying that any half way decent coach will try to instill a "us against the world" attitude in them this year. They are certainly more thin than normal, but they are starting from the very top talent in the big 12 and most of it is still there. We Have a better shot vs TCU at home IMO. Im really only worried about coming out whole in those two games. I like our odds vs several AAC teams down the stretch if we can stay somewhat healthy.
