Tailgating in Shreveport

I dont know if their is a place planned but I thought I would post my 2 cents on a good place to have a SMU tailgating party since I live in Shreveport.
I wouldnt think of tailgating at any of the casino's esp the ones in Shreveport. There isnt room for that because of the car traffic on that street. I have heard mention of the sheraton as a possible spot but i wouldnt do it there either unless you plan on having a heck of a lot of advertisement since the sheraton is far from the stadium and interstate.
The only good place i could think is at the Stadium. Although there is a lot of construction going on, there is plenty of parking east of the stadium where the state fair takes place. We could have a huge tailgating party there and then we could walk to the stadium after it is finished. Please respond or at least formulate plan for tailgating becuause I could,if needed, help get the tailgating promoted here in Shreveport.
