No it's not. You can want football to be great all you want, but the schools reality is that it's size, facilities and location, speak to hoops.

Thats why TCUs football team sucks and their basketball wins Big 12 championships and is on the race to the final four every year....ok

I want us to be good at both sports. Why are some people so hellbent on acting like idiots on here?

I want SMU to have strong Football and Basketball programs too. Some here are hellbent on having a basketball school and letting the football program die.

Back to the point of this thread, it's definitely Flanigan. But Jerad Romo deserves a mention as well.

Flanigan for sure, although not sure how he survived his decade of eligibility as he was running for his life at every snap.

Shamefully the most successful SMU QB post DP...Josh McCown! Hands down.

Ramon. Especially since he ran for his life most of his 6 years. (I know 95 season was just one game with the injury) One of my favorite post dp games was the Arkansas game in Fayetteville in 96. Ramon and Dante were stellar.

He'll always be SMU to me. Part of the era where our players would go become starters and significant players other places.
