About Last Night

Postby SoCal_Pony » Sun Nov 20, 2016 3:01 pm

Stallion called for some type of marketing plan to drive attendance for the last 2 home games. unfortunately and unsurprisingly, our AD isn't that nimble.

Having said that, next year is the perfect storm for SMU FB.

We will be good, maybe fielding our best team in 30 years.

Our home schedule is SFA, NTSU, Ark St, UCF, UConn, Tulane & Tulsa. It needs help, anyone who thinks a 7-2 SMU team playing UCF at home and drawing more than 18,000 fans without some promotional help is fooling themselves.

2017 is the perfect year to have a serious campaign to promote SMU FB. Not smart to overly market a product that produces 51-7 results, but that will not be the case next year.

AD, you have over 6 months to figure this out. Better do something.

This could be the least compelling home schedule in history. I have little interest and most of these games. Fans want to see quality name teams. in my case I want to see a schedule of old SWC rivals. Continue Baylor, Rice, TCU, TT bring in Kansas, KSU and OSU on occasion. Consider Air Force and Army.

Marketing 101 - Don't get war crimed by Memphis on Homecoming.
Back off Warchild seriously.

You keep using those words. I do not think they mean what you think they mean.

I quit buying SMU season tickets bc of all the stupid marketing promotions that let everyone in for free.
