No kidding. I wish he would take about 5 minutes out of his day and read through their posts. I can't imagine anyone would want to be associated with those idiots.

On a lark, I got a 1 month subscription to Baylor's Rivals site. Those people are Bat [deleted] Crazy. Many of them believe Baylor BOR and/or UT framed Briles and that he should be the coach next year.

Some posters here are clearly on the spectrum, but the vast majority of that board takes it to another level.

I swear, how is it that even Baylor is a big enough name to not get any punishment out of this debacle they created for themselves? It's unbelievable.

because the NCAA Bylaws don't have provisions or sanctions for violations of criminal codes and the sanctions wouldn't survive due process scrutiny in a federal court-just like in Penn St. case where NCAA folded once sued in federal court. NCAA doesn't have subpoena power and can't require witnesses to testify under oath. Witnesses likely wouldn't cooperate on fears of self incrimination before criminal trials were concluded. Essentially, the enforcement action would have to abstain until after conclusion of criminal proceedings. District Attorneys wouldn't cooperate because it would disclose trial strategy and work product
"With a quarter of a tank of gas, we can get everything we need right here in DFW." -SMU Head Coach Chad Morris

Gotcha. Funny how they only seem to have teeth when it comes to small programs.

Is there a statute of limitations on NCAA investigations if no initial ruling has been made?

I ask because after their likely title 9 hearing, there will likely be evidence of actions taken to maintain players eligibility by preventing their punishment by prejudicing the reporting process. This would be evidence of illegal acts taken to create an advantage that is likely in violation of some NCAA regulation or prior precedent. I don't believe for a moment they would do this...but could they?
