yeah

Not the most charming guy-but I've admired what he accomplished-he's the high school coach that wrote the blue print for all the others to rise through the system. He'd win for sure-and that is what this is all about. His career probably would have gone better if he had found his P5 job in Texas rather than in areas he didn't have better recruiting contacts

certainly a possibility if he gets bounced and finds himself in a position to rebuild his career. Anyone who can win at SMU will become a candidate for Big XII openings so if you want to be in Texas, our job is not alltogether unattractive, especially with the foundation Morris has built

Not the most upstanding person, but as Stallion says it is all about winning so I would probably put him at the top of the list if both SMU and ASU have coaching vacancies.

Graham would only have his bags half way unpacked at SMU when he would be leaving for another school.

I really don't care as long he continues the rebuild-he's getting older too-plus he'd hire a great staff who would probably leave a great assistant to move up to Head Coach

Todd Graham Coaching Tree:

Chad Morris, Mike Norvell, Gus Malzhan, David Beatty, Bill Blankenship, Major Applewhite, Keith Patterson (ASU/West Virginia DC)

Todd Graham would keep SMU about as long as Liz Taylor kept one of her husbands.

repeated good coaching hires is how UH and Tulsa have had success-and few stayed very long

I'm with you on this one Stallion. It's not necessarily about keeping a coach here long-term, just one that leaves the program in better shape than how he inherits it.
