Timing Question

Should we read anything into no announcements today on anything?

Our season is over, so no harm in announcing if Baylor has this decided - so maybe delay means Chad is staying? If so - wouldn't he announce he is since there has been so much speculation?

No announcement necessary if Chad Morris is staying. There might be a press release announcing we've extended his contract though.

Nothing is final until a deal is signed.

This isn't over until BU trots another coach in front of the cameras as their new head coach.

I would think this week. But they could swing and miss on Fedora and then give Chad what he wants.

Im really curious how much BU has after paying CAB' s severance and then a new coaches buy out. Then a P5 salary ..... All with most of their big alums ( McLane ect.) up in arms about how the BOR handled the scandal.

Yeah, the frustrating part is SMU has no reason to announce anything.

So, we are forced to wait until those heathens announce their new coach.

Remember , the no to JJ emails that the ASU AD received was the driver to slowing the roll on JJ's deal that eventually killed it.

So while AD's don't let the mob select the candidate they darn sure want approval and are reluctant to move forward if the alums who are invested in the program ( by virtue of sending an email or message board chatter) are against the hire when his name is floated.

This is why these searches aren't kept private : Agents expose negotiations to pressure a raise; AD's expose negotiations - if the hire is a reach- to see how the fans respond.

Believe me - if both parties wanted these negotiations to be kept quiet they would be.

LOL at their fans saying they don't want him because he is exactly what they need but don't deserve.

I don't want to lose him this soon to anyone, but I will hate it if he ends up in Waco.

Hope they can up his buy-out as much as possible in the extension,
cuzz I don't think he will be here long, might as well get a nice payday when he leaves!

I know thus will have a better outcome but this sounds eerily similar to the ASU JJ situation. That is in regards to alumni response.

I believe the JJ detractors were the money men, not just disgruntled fans. It all depends on from whom the emails, phone calls, or meetings are coming,

They emails to ASU were from alumni, fans, former players and others. They were from a vast crowd.

They were from the big boosters.

Still funny to think about it tbh.

Yes but only the ones pulling financial support really mattered. I think a whisper from Gerald Ford would carry much farther than Ponyfans screaming.

Baylor thinks "No" means "yes"...
