No, TAMU needs and will go the former NFL head coach route or an established college coach who has won in a P5. They can recruit by virtue of being TAMU and in the SEC west. What they lack is the coaching horsepower to get them over the hump in the SEC.

They certainly aren't constrained by money .

I think Chad winds up at TTU if he gets the itch to leave.

I believe KK's buyout is over $6M after next season, not to mention Chad's will likely be over $4M and perhaps in the $5-6M range with his new raise extension...can the Sand Aggies afford that?

Chip Kelly is a really odd ball. Not sure how well he'd do with the political side of the job at a place like A&M -- all he does is coach football, he's not interested in any booster schmoozing or anything like that. At Oregon he could get away with this because you only have to keep one guy happy, Phil Knight.
