I agree Briles will resurface somewhere in a year or two....we are in the "let the heat die down" period....people are so hungry to win...I honestly believe if Charles Manson could coach a team to a national championship game....and get out of jail.....somebody would hire him eventually...."well that was a long time ago....Charlie is a changed man"

Isn't there talk that Houston is looking at him again? Wasn't it here that I read that?
Wouldn't be even a little surprising.

When Dave Bliss tried to resurface, he went to a "Christian" school (HS) in hopes of showing he was a changed man. He wasn't. He isn't.

University corporate governance is not what it used to be. There is waaaay too much risk associated with bringing him on then people are understanding. Title IX is not to be trifled with. Any board of governor or trustee would reasonably ask - is there no other candidate that we can bring in that doesn't have this baggage and risk associated with them? The answer to that question will always be yes - there are other candidates.

I would be shocked to see him coach again at any university.

Plus he is no spring chicken. By the time he is "forgiven" he will be too old to jump back in.

You say that but aren't there still a ton of people associated with the Baylor coverups still.... on the Baylor payroll either in admin or football?

I don't see Houston bringing him back. I can see Texas Tech eventually hiring him to replace Kliff Kingsbury whenever that does happen.

Apparently some people are not thinking this through as if they were a University President. Lets say you roll the dice and hire Art Briles. Then 6 months later his newly transferred in Defensive Lineman rapes someone. President is instantly dismissed for stupidity.

There is no reason for any administrator of BOT member to take that risk. None.

Texas Tech had Mike Leach for a while. Art Briles is a Tech alum. The fanbase is desperate enough to win that I can see them wanting to give one of their own a fresh start while elevating their football program.

Tech is where I've heard as a landing spot for him.

Speaking of University Presidents. When Baylor gets a new one, shouldn''t we send him Ken Pye's plan of how to clean up a University athletic program  .
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna
