Who'd We Look At If The Chadster LeftKiffin, Miles, Dykes. ?
Smustatesman aka NUKE......I procreate and I vote.
Re: Who'd We Look At If The Chadster LeftThose are pipe dreams. P5 head coaches rarely move down, especially those caliber names.
We either steal a HC from another G5 or tap a young, up and comer Coordinator.
Re: Who'd We Look At If The Chadster LeftOnly a "failed" P5 coach would even consider this job...as a way of rebuilding his career and landing another P5 gig. Got to go where the money is...don't most of us?
Re: Who'd We Look At If The Chadster LeftCharlie Strong, Les Miles, Lane Kiffin, and Steve Sarkisian qualify as "failed" P5 coaches.
Re: Who'd We Look At If The Chadster LeftTrue, but those guys will wait to see if they get P5 jobs before accepting that they may have to prove themselves all over again at the G5 level. Charlie and Les have the luxury of sitting one year out (if nothig attractive is offered right away) and doing some research before jumping back into the pool.
Re: Who'd We Look At If The Chadster Leftit now looks like Chad is staying another year...but I would think Tulsa's Philip Montgomery would be one our targets if Chad does indeed jump ship.
C-ya @ Milos!
Re: Who'd We Look At If The Chadster Left
Montgomery has Tulsa rollin.
Re: Who'd We Look At If The Chadster Leftonly problem is that tulsa isn't bank-rollin Montgomery.

Re: Who'd We Look At If The Chadster LeftMonty would be great. I would think it is a good job for him also - although he is more small town than big town so he may not love the SMU bling. He is actually one of the few guys that might prefer Waco to Dallas.
Re: Who'd We Look At If The Chadster Left
Yes he does. I think if they win their bowl game Tulsa will have had a 10 win season. Montgomery is from the metroplex. C-ya @ Milos!
Re: Who'd We Look At If The Chadster Left
he made less than half what Chad made this year... and will probably be below Chad again next season C-ya @ Milos!
Re: Who'd We Look At If The Chadster Left
typo and it has been corrected. at my age the brain tends to move a little faster than the fingers. ha.
Re: Who'd We Look At If The Chadster Lefthttp://coacheshotseat.com/
chad has the distinction of also being on the hot seat. so are we going to fire him or give him a raise.
Re: Who'd We Look At If The Chadster Left
No problem....mine too...lol C-ya @ Milos!
Re: Who'd We Look At If The Chadster LeftThere are certainly a myriad of names that would likely express interest in this job. Those G5 and FBS coaches with rising stock who want a payday and possible step to P5 land, as well as senior coordinators. This is not 2014. This team has potential and any new coach will know that they will have a solid shot next season if they can keep the majority of the recruiting class together. And...they'll get paid very well.
