Routine end of season stuff. Don't read much into it.

This is not good news IMO. Any word on Craddick?

Great news. Now I hope he can keep the staff intact - especially Mathis. Tom Herman needs a new staff and hope he doesn't try to money whip Mathis.

Just my opinion. I think Morris is a terrible gameday coach. Based his two years as a HC what evidence do you have to suggest otherwise?

Plus, I REALLY liked his rumored replacement

I liked the rumored replacement too- but he's never been a HC and that learning curve can be steep.

Well I can tell you that he'll be a lot smarter coach on 3rd and 1 when Alan Ali and Hayden Howerton are physically ready to excel.

Forget the minutia about things that didn't click in 2nd year of total rebuild. Things didn't click for Art Briles when his teams surrendered 63 and 65 points in SECOND year at UH. Things didn't click when Ron Meyer lost his last 2 games of his SECOND year 92-14.

The guys who couldn't get it done in 2016 aren't the guys who are going to be dancin' at the Party in 2017 and beyond. A whole new level of player will be executing his offensive game plan. I've seen this too many times-we are on our way

Things didn't click for great recruiter/coordinators like Will Muschamp, Ron Zook, Brady Hoke (Michigan), etc. The coaching ranks are littered with them.

Morris is a poor in game coach and collectively our halftime adjustments are atrocious. We routinely get boat raced in the second half of games where we are competitive. Is some of that depth? Sure. Is some of it being in over your head with the youngest offensive coaching staff in D1A? Probably.

I'm glad he's staying. Continuity and continued recruiting of plus level athletes is the biggest issue we still face. Morris has dramatically improved the talent on the roster and modernized the schemes to get out of the stone age Run & Shoot. Morris staying was the best possible outcome.

chad did beat 5 schools, most notably uoh when most thought he would win 2-4 games.
came very close to beating usf and Tulsa (ot).
am I happy that he shopped himself to Baylor? no. a little early in the game for that kind of behavior.
hopefully whatever lead him to do that can be rectified. whether it's an ipf (which I just don't get) or something else.

Great outcome. He will learn every game to be a better game day coach. That is the least of my concerns. And if any of you have paid attention to the redshirts on the sidelines during the games, we have some potential talent coming in next year.
