I think Strong would be a perfect fit.

Retires is a pretty optimistic word for his leaving.

Cindy is an underrated position. They should do well. I'd take a look at Brohm if I were them.

He resigned, did not retire.

I am not done coaching and I look forward to my next challenge. Go Bearcats!

I think PJ Fleck is the perfect candidate for that job before he moves on to Notre Dame or another P5 job. If not then, Jeff Brohm, Charlie Strong, or others.

Still remember his opening press conference when he took the texas tech job. He said "we are going to show the Big12 how to play defense". LOL

Tommy Tuberville - proof that stealing a 'name' coach from a program does not ensure success.

P. J. Fleck will be a major candidate for a P5 school like Purdue.

Is Purdue a better job than Cinci?
- Before Tubberville failed, Cinci coaches moved up to good/great programs.

Purdue -> Indiana, Kentucky, Duke, and WF ->HC jobs unlikely to lead to better job.

I agree. If I'm I Fleck or Brohm I steer clear of Purdue and Baylor and take the Cincy job - it's a far better job for the sake of moving up.

I think Houston and Cincinnati are better jobs than Purdue right now. Win big at Houston and Cincinnati and you have your golden ticket. Purdue will be a tougher job with Michigan, Ohio State, Wisconsin and Penn State doing well right now.
