Wow. Not exactly Houston, USF or OC for LSU or Bama.

5 year deal.

Really? This is the best he could do? Taking over a 3-9 bottom dwelling, CUSA team?

"This job will most certainly be a pay cut for Kiffin, who is making $1.4 million as Alabama’s offensive coordinator. Partridge made $590,000 last season and Adam Rittenberg of ESPN.com said FAU wasn’t planning to spend more than $600,000 on a new coach"

Not a bad move on his part. Always better to be a HC, and his swagger could go down well down there.
Dude's only 41 - put in three good years and he's right back in the position of being a top College coach.

Florida could turn into the recruiting death match:

Kiffen
Strong
Butch Davis
Scott Frost
Mark Richt
Jimbo Fisher
Jim McElwain

not to mention every SEC, ACC, the eastern AAC, and many more. A lot of Championship rings on their fingers

Bama OC is a better job than FAU head coach.
Bama equipment manager is a better job than FAU head coach.
There's more to this story than we're getting. He and Saban are big ego guys, so maybe they butted heads, but this move makes zero sense.
