Thanks for the insight.

She is back tracking pretty hard. This will be a career lesson she will never forget.

Who was it from rivals a few years back that said SMU to the SEC was a done deal?

Wasn't it EJ Holland?

Thanks Nikki.

Maybe she was just expressing an alternative fact. No problem with that.

Don't see anything unusual. Coach Morris runs a tough, tough program with lots of 5 am wakeup calls. Not many guys are gonna do it for long just to wear the uniform.

Looked at the Roster. Was Chan Aimee one of the 7? I had high hopes for him. Any info would be nice. Thanks

I think we all know that there are a variety of reasons. Just would like someone who has some time to put a list of the players we know aren't coming back...

Totally ignorant question: Is there any university wide program for drug testing, surprise, random, or whatever, as a condition of remaining in good standing as a student?

Possibly impure thoughts:

If there is such a policy would the number of applications be greater if it were dropped?

And is there a constant exodus after every test?

Ignorant comment: Looks to me like that kind of reporting, if faulty as described, should somehow cost the author money, but I'm not a lawyer.

He is still on the roster. Hopefully still on the team. But your info comes from pretty good sources.

C. Aimee, M. Scott, B. Carlisle and M. McNeill are the only younger players who left.

As for the rest, it is hard to distinguish between people who "left" and people who "were never" coming back.
- Although McCarty could have come back for a 5th year, SMU honored him on Senior Day along with a number of other players (see below) and people who Scouted around knew he had decided to move on. Let's just say the graduation rate for the upperclassmen who left is impressive. Some might try to transfer, but I think most of them are done playing football. BET - if any of them left because they were "afraid" of a drug test, I'll donate an extra $100 to the Mustang Club.
- Colbert left for obvious reasons and his decision to leave shouldn't surprise anyone.
- We seem to have a lot less walk-ons on the roster than in the past.
