Kevin Robledo - LA Pierce JuCo has accepted offer to SMU. Can play immediately. Should get interesting.

He can put the ball in the end zone on kickoffs. That may have been good for two more W's last year.

A great addition!!!

Originally signed with Florida St but was recruited over I believe.

I think he walked-on to Florida St and then the next year Aguayo signed and another kid walked on. Aguayo is a legacy at Florida St-his brother was an All-American just a few years ago. Many schools do not give scholarships to kickers

That's what it was. I knew they had brought in a bigger 'name.'

FG's were fine last year. Kickoffs are what we need dramatic help on. Competition never hurts though

That's why he's here now. Punting, too.

If we can move from horrible to great on special teams we will win so many more games! Having you opponent start on the 25 instead of the 50 makes a huge difference. Trading punts and coming out 30 yards the worse for the exchange was a killer. I was afraid we were overlooking this position which seems like the easiest path to being much more competitive.

Plus Traylor, will he be consulting on ST?

I remember thinking when Brewer left I would have been fine taking that schollie and giving it to a k/p that contribute right away. In the short term, at least, this could be a major win.

This might be the most important scholly our coaches offer this year. We have been woefully short handed in the kicking game for two years.

FGs were not fine last year. We only ATTEMPTED 3 kicks of more than 39 yards last year (and only made one) because our kicker has such a weak leg that we were more comfortable going for it on 4th down.
