Medical redshirt update

RB Jordan Carmouche and DE Nick Horton have received medical redshirts for the 2016 season, according to a source within the SMU athletic department.

Carmouche, as a freshman, obviously was going to return anyway, but Horton was a senior last season and now has another season of eligibility.

Good news though perhaps not unexpected. But Matt Davis is on the roster still although the bio expresses uncertainty. Please remind me when a decision is expected.

would not Jones also qualify for a red shirt. he did appear in two games as I recall but was out very quickly due to injury. ?????
