There are several recent posts that Carmouche will be a LB and maybe that is his future but the text reached by the link still lists him as a RB.

Maybe its a Mustang Club update with that information?

And if this is an official 2017 roster is it definite that Matt Davis will be available and ditto first question?

Morris said Tuesday that Carmouche will play LB and that NCAA has not ruled on Matt Davis

Our smallest scholarship OL is 275lbs, but Hyder needs to drop 15-20 pound if he wants to start.

With Carmouche moving to LB, Freeman (at 208) is the only "big" back on the roster.

Btw - Carmouche is going to miss Spring Practices due to an injury. Thus, it is hard to imagine that he can contribute much early in the season.

What about Myles Duke at 6'1" 224 as a LB candidate? Isn't that up quite a bit from his H.S. weight? I thought as a H.S. QB and WR he played at just under 200 but I may be misremembering

Anybody go to practice today?

BTW Duke won one the Strength and Conditioning Awards so he appears to mean business. He was a great athlete in High School but at QB/WR. He's a wildcard but the athleticism and apparently desire is there

Yup. Got videos (see home page) with interviews from Chad Morris and Xavier Jones.

Team went in full pads, with some full contact drills. Media is limited to one end of the field, so a lot of things we couldn't see very clearly, but I'll post some notes later tonight or certainly by tomorrow.

Wow Delontae Scott at 253 is impressive. I remember when he and his brother came into the program two years ago and looked like twigs. Good job by the S&C program / nutritionists on staff.

I am not. Most of our "lightweight" OL are RS Freshmen with decent sized frames. With another semester + summer in the S&C program, they will be big enough by Fall. In a few years, they should be pushing 300 easily. Plus, I would rather have a fit/strong guy at 280-290 than a tubby guy at 300+.

Yeah they get on the Field as 6-5 or 6-4 283 redshirt freshman I not very worried. We got 5 returning lineman who have all started multiple games. I'd be more worried about the guys who get up to the 330 range in our tempo aggressive style. Those guys over the years haven't contributed much under Morris or Jones

Agree. Natour was pretty light, but he stepped up big time last year.
