6-5, 300 with a nice offer list and has three years to play two. Not bad.

Any word on Raquaan Davis out of Baylor? If the kid wants playing time and a chance to shine we're tailor-made for him.

Also, considering the possible help we need at safety I'm still wondering about the kid from UT, Eric Huhn. Is he at all related to Matthew? Different cities but how many Huhn's can there be?

If we do not improve there, we can have All Americans on the line and in the secondary and we will still give up too many points to win like we desire. Hopefully some one or two will step up and calm my fears.

I'll give you one positive word: "Rhone"

As in, we get our (arguably) best LB back in the lineup.

We'll take a secondary bowl tie-in due to some horse trading and spend late December in Shreveport at Camping World Independence Bowl.

Schedule at home does look winnable, but most likely we drop a game to UCF or Ark State (especially if we upset TCU and get the big-head). I hope we will pick up SURPRISE win on the road, mostly likely Cincinnati, TCU...or Houston, why not? Really took it to them last year, call it "Applegate".

If we avoid all the second-string quarterbacks this year, we should be fine....I'm talking about our OPPONENT'S second-string quarterbacks. We are the only school that can make a guy look like an All-American when he was a back-up.

I still have that 8-4 feeling and 9-4 after the bowl.
