New guys in big roles?

Postby Lotus » Mon May 29, 2017 10:04 pm

Every season means players step up, either backups from years past or new guys. So who ya got in 2017?

My choices, skipping the incoming freshmen we've never seen: Trey Quinn, Ken McLaurin, Elijah McQueen, Kadarius Smith, Rafe Peavy

Smith or Wilds at RT. Quinn. 33 Ward at LB. Gary will be huge. Davis or Sutton at corner.

The new kicker/punter needs to either take a job or push the others

Quinn. Sutton is going to be the main focus of the other teams pass defenses, and Proche will be on their radar. Quinn, as possibly the third receiver in the set running loose in AAC defenses, has the chance to run wild. Can he return kicks? He has the chance to really make an impact on Special Teams...

The new DE from Tennessee. Similiarly, defenses will be looking at Lawler and Gary. He has the chance to surprise some defenses.

Good call on the K/P. We need him to produce/make others better.

Interesting. He didn't play in the spring game, so it's safe to say he's behind Epps, Kaufman, Rau and Becker on the depth chart, right?
What do you like about him, Stallion?

I find these names to be quiet curious. Quiet curious indeed.
