During what years did SMU go undefeated for 2 consecutive seasons?

Since nobody is going to get this without cheating except Gerry York-I'll give you a hint-it was EITHER in mrydel's redshirt freshman year or the year SMU wore these OUTSTANDING uniforms. Damn can we get a throwback uniform like this?

If this is a trick question, the 2 years we were on the DP.

When we attended, they lost 1 game in 2 years, to UT.

Always thought that was the best 2-year run in SMU history.

Good guess because I never really realized the correct answer. One source has SMU as the Top team in the Country in one of those years

Without looking it up, I would think only other possibility (once again a trick question) would be the season they played in the Rose Bowl. Since you said 'year', that would exclude the Rose Bowl loss. So that year & the year prior.

Still, my guess is DP, final answer.

Apparently Wikipedia didn't include the 1925 Dixie Classic though that SMU lost 9-7 to West Virginia Wesleyan on January 1, 2015. We got screwed by the refs in that game-probably placed on probation immediately after the game by the NCAA. So I guess SoCal Pony is CORRECT Answer

I had a T-shirt with a Toe's Up Pony to prove it.

Trick question. One year was mrydel's Sr year, not Fr year, and the other was his 1st year post grad in the Perkins school.
