I know this gets debated often but I'll give my SMU rivals. I think we truly only have one, TCU, but I'll force a list of five:

1. TCU - played each other for over a 100 years. 30 miles apart. Similar student bodies. Competitive in football and basketball all-time.
2. Baylor - similar to TCU. We definitely don't like them. They cheat more than we ever did. Conference foes for a long time.
3. Houston - ramped up in past few years. Still conference foes. Dallas vs. Houston. Never forget 95-21.
4. Rice - longtime SWC and C-USA foes. Two best private schools in Texas. Dallas vs. Houston.
5. Tulsa - they HATE us. I don't particularly care for them. Texas vs. OK.

On the waiting list - all the former SWC schools not listed, Cincy and UConn in hoops

Football all-time head-to-head
TCU: 40-49-7
Baylor: 36-39-7
Houston: 11-19-1
Rice: 48-41-1
Tulsa: 13-10

Others mentioned:
Texas: 22-47-4

Basketball all-time head-to-head
TCU: 105-85
Baylor: 86-77
Houston: 32-48 (since 1949)
Rice: 85-52 (since 1949)
Tulsa: 19-28 (since 1949)

Others mentioned:
Texas: 48-57 (since 1949)
Cincy: 5-6
UConn: 8-2

Old school would say Texas...the end to Varsity was always capped with "Beat Texas" back in the day.

That's the list, though the way they've lapped us in football makes it feel more like tradition than rivalry these days. They're our biggest game but we're like 8th or something to them.

I think the basketball game this December will help bring it back. There is a decent chance both teams will be ranked and we have won last four.

It's tcu and Houston for the moment. Us beating coog high at home went a long way in reigniting that. Plus the way their fans were so hostile at hofheinz in February makes me think there's actual animosity.

TCU. Joke school and joke programs. (although I respect what they've done with football the last 10 years: winning big time in MWC (winning the rose bowl was HUGE and then getting into B12 and doing well there . . . I still feel we can do the same in a far more competitive AAC than MWC).

Texas. Too scared to play us in bball because they'd get their [deleted] whooped and playing us in football does nothing for them, so who knows if that ever happens in the near future unless we get into the same conference as them. But I want to play them in both sports again SO bad. We'd beat them in basketball, and I ain't scared to play them in football, bring it.

Houston. Hate to put this joke school and program on the list but they are a rival. In last 5 years, their bball program is getting better, and I consider us pretty much a toss up ever year in football now. Don't forget 95 points indeed (although we put up 72 on them not that long ago).

Too frightened to play our rivals-need a Toilet Bowl bid this year so we can play in one of the available Metroplex Bowls

It would be nice to play and beat Texas in the Frisco Bowl.

As a current student, it definitely feels like TCU and Houston are our biggest rivalries

I got SMU as TCU's #5 rival (tied with West Virginia).

1. Baylor
2. Tech
3. Texas
4. OU
5. SMU / WVU

30+ years since we last beat any of those schools

Not particularly, a few mob members have read some of the articles that have come from this site but the amount of people that care about sports at the school is low, and the amount that care enough to read about it even lower.
