The whole one-day contract to retire is so silly, but I am happy for ED to finally make peace with the Rams I know that is very important to him.

The only time I agree with it is if it truly is right at the end of their career, like Emmit did with the Cowboys after he'd been gone a couple seasons. And I hate the Cowboys.

This with ED and the Rams is absolutely stupid.

He set the NFL Rookie Rushing Record with the Rams which still stands 35 years later
He set the NFL Single Season Rushing Record with the Rams that still stands for about 35 years later

These are 2 of the longest standing records in the NFL-why is this this stupid. His career was never the same after he left

Because he actually retired almost 25 years ago and he's already in the Hall of Fame, maybe? Bring the dude back for Eric Dickerson Day. Awesome. Put him in your team Hall of Fame. Even better. But the whole one day contract to retire as a member of your team this far after his career? Sorry. They missed the window when that would have made any sense by well over two decades.

Its smart as Hades! Even a one day contract at the League Minimum is a lot more than most of us make in a week or two. Even a rookie one day contract is worth $1274. And he is a HOF veteran. Probaly get a lot more.

Eric Dickerson has been so screwed by the College FB HoF that if he is happy with this, then I am 100% happy with it.

Congrats ED!
