This is what I learned: our gameday presentation is (still) garbage. Didn't see the Mini Mustangs, so that was a plus. The mic'ing of the band seems necessary (at least when the opponent brings a 300 member band of their own) but the delay in them playing then being heard thru the speakers distorted the whole sound and sounded awful. Pretty sure the mods on the choir didn't work most of the time in the halftime presentation. Plenty of music pumped thru the speakers but it was a total crap shoot how loud it was going to be. Seems like these logistics could and should be figured out before the actual game.

And what was with the PA announcer giving the away score first? Is he trying to be polite? I get we have been on a long line of losing scores, but to hear "Stephen F Austin 0, SMU 21" sounded terrible.

Usually don't complain about the food options, but ordered nachos and was given 217 chips and enough cheese for 10 of them. Asked if they could drizzle some cheese over the top instead of just putting a very little amount in the cup, and was told they weren't allowed.

See you next week.

Well then you will be even more impressed with TCU's performance

Jackson State was limited to 24 yards rushing and 41 passing

just got back from Mexico on the "Cruise that Never Ends" on RCCL's Orphan of the Seas that was denied disembarkation at Galveston because of Hurricane Harvey. My 7 day Western Caribbean cruise turned into a 13 day Western (and Eastern) Caribbean cruise. Had excellent Nachos at Paradise Beach in Cozumel

Sure was, hence the post about needing a passing game to have a shot against them.

RE: Kickoff Coverage

We had the two huge returns. Outside of that, however, we actually held them inside the 25 yard line. And we didn't start with the ball inside the 15 on any of our returns. So, all in all much better than last year ;).

Please don't compare Jackson State to SFA.

Biggest improvement is between the first and second game. So the saying goes.

Our game day remains lame. I'm so glad we get score updates on the same 4 games. PA guy ...(if you don't have something nice to say...).
I'm in favor of kicking it straight OOB or even volunteering to give it to them on the 40 if we have to. Hold on to your hats with special teams.
Is Eastern Washington perking up after seeing Ben's play?
Here's hoping SMU does a better job of patrolling the grounds this year for Ntsu as they will try to find an open space somewhere and just set up shop.
