Our uni set can get a tad Arena League sometimes with all the mixing of colors, but I've liked what we've worn the first two games.

As the football pants no longer reach the knee, why not a Bermuda short length in a madras print in blue and red. Or, as the male swimmers can now no longer wear the 2008 Beijing Olympics style swim pants; there must be plenty of them around in blue or black. Combine a black Speedo swim pant with a body hugging black jersey and you be sty'lin, and hard to grip/tackle.

I want to see the football team wear capri pants one week. And then I want them to wear throwback uniforms from the 1920s - no helmets.

I prefer the classic look but in reality that just shows my age. I really don't care what they wear anymore, I just want to WIN!

Love the khaki pants SMUer and I wish they would do a throwback day and wear that light khaki and red combo.

Beginning in 2018, players’ pants must have knee pads such that the pants and the pads cover the knees. Previously, the rules recommended that the knees be covered, but this was not required. The committee is delaying implementation of the mandate until 2018 because a number of schools have already bought equipment for the year.

For my boys in middle school and high school the coaches are requiring them to wear knee pads this year.
