Does anyone know if they are much better than UNT or about the same?

UNT led Iowa at halftime and were down only 3 points in the 4th Qtr.

I think we know Nebraska isn't very good for whatever that is worth.

Arkansas State is better than UNT, but it isn't a giant leap.

Ark State has been bowling something like 5-6 years in a row so I think they are going to be a lot tougher opponent than UNT was

didn't play NTSU last year but are about 40 teams better than NTSU in Sagarin ratings. Interesting SMU is No. 87 and Arkansas St 88. Its a toss-up game with SMU favored because of home field. But evenly matched teams

BTW 6 of our FUTURE opponents are rated higher in Sagarin ratings making this one pretty damn important if we want to get to a Bowl

Check that-I counted USF and forgot we don't play them this year-so 5 of our FUTURE opponents are rated higher in Sagarin

They have an inexperienced OL and rely primarily on their passing. Hopefully we can pressure their QB into some mistakes.

This is a pretty decent team. They certainly have AD's that know what a good football HC is made of. Freeze, Hardin, Malzahn, etc. Note to Rick Hart (hint).
While in that neck of the woods, could someone refresh me on how Memphis - Memphis - got to the level they have in FB and now own us.

They got a three year head start on rebuilding.

I understand. But repeat, Memphis. Not basketball. Football. I don't know what Fuente did over there but dang, if you can recruit FB at Memphis then you are either giving bitcoins to all or free female companionship on demand.

Fuente evaluated and developed talent very well (he learned from the best). The types of kids he signed didn't come with price tags because they were largely overlooked.
