Selfishly I would be happy with the Hawaii Bowl this season since I am cash strapped and cannot afford to go to any bowl so at least that is the one bowl game I would not feel guilty of not attending.

I really wish the AAC could ninja the Heart of Dallas bowl from CUSA. You would think the bowl and the Big 12 would rather play our conference than CUSA. Sadly we don't have many interesting bowls. So just out of convenience sake, I hope we get the frisco bowl.

Hmm wondering why all these writers have us in the Hawaii Bowl and then remembered the Conference pays travel expenses I believe. So SMU might be the cheapest option for the AAC to send to Hawaii out of DFW

Given the location and the two teams, we would probably agree to do something stupid... like honor JJ

Fine with anywhere as long as it's against P5. Could care less about playing Midwest Tech State in the toilet bowl

If honoring JJ before game means we would put a pounding on a team that is favored to beat us by a couple of TDs, I would take that trade off...

With what our fan base has had to deal with for the last 30 years, is it too much to ask that we have a bowl game our fans can actually go to, vs Hawaii on Christmas eve? I'd like to think the football gods will throw us a bone on this one. Assuming we are eligible of course. Not counting chickens here quite yet.

I wish we still had a slot in the New Orleans bowl or they started a new one with AAC and Big 12. Now that would be accessible and fun.

Hawaii Bowl is a good bowl, as the lower tiers go. Xmas Eve. A lot of visibility. Fun place for team et al to go to, etc etc.

You mean like having a bowl came in the absolutely most easily accessible place for SMU fans?

Like, say, Ford Stadium...
