I think ESPN owns most of these and can make changes to the conferences if they want.

Birmingham was fun. ED was on the sidelines and signed about 1,000 autographs. We had an amazing turnout. Only bummer was our RB who broke his leg. Don't think he ever came back.

Legion field is a dump but all things considered might be our best option. Hawaii trip is a beat down.

My dream is a Rose Bowl win against anybody. Best place to watch a football game in my experience.

Any G5 opponent MWC/Sun Belt/CUSA whatever is not going to be watchable. Hawaii bowl is worst with it being on Christmas Eve. I really hope for local or against a P5 opponent which I know is unlikely.

Even this early in the season, all the projections are reaching a similar conclusion:

SUNDAY, DEC. 24
Hawaii Bowl, Honolulu, (8:30 p.m., ESPN)
AAC vs. MWC
SMU vs. Hawaii

This early in the season, these projections have about as much dependability as predicting who's gonna win the Heisman this year.

I dunno about the Hawaii Bowl-

"It's an island. Surrounded by water. Big water-Ocean water"
"With a quarter of a tank of gas, we can get everything we need right here in DFW." -SMU Head Coach Chad Morris

When momentum starts rolling downhill in recruiting-WATCH OUT.

Maybe we could pull the Methodist card. With so many of our devout alums attending worship services on Christmas eve, its impossible for us to attend. You know that heathen head coach June Jones made us go before, because he wanted to visit all his friends in Hawaii.

Projection: SMU vs. Miami (OH)

SMU coach Chad Morris, the former Clemson offensive coordinator, is already being mentioned as a top candidate for a number of possible Power 5 openings in the coming months. So, Mustang fans better enjoy the offensive fireworks while they can. Morris has SMU (4-1) off to its best start since 2011.

The Mustangs are one of only five schools that have scored at least 30 points five times this season. In other SMU news, former SMU RB Eric Dickerson was asked this week by Colin Cowherd what he received from the school. “I didn’t get anything,” Dickerson said. “I got a good education. I wasn’t part of that.” Now, back to reality.
