23,672 was the announced attendance for Arky State. hahahahahaha!

That's a joke. If you consider that the full part of the stadium, the season ticket holder sections is about 1/3 of the stadium, we fill that, and I mean FILL that with no empty seats, and you have 10-11k. The reality is that we fill about 60-70% of those season ticket sections (there were less than 10 people in my row Saturday). So the full part of the stadium is occupied by 7k butts. Take the rest of the stadium, where people are dotted in the sections, there aren't even 3k more people.

I've said it before. The average number of people actually in Ford for a game is 10k. That's ok. There are professional sports teams in the world that don't see that many fans.

But 23k? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

In the early days of the Dallas Cowboys, an adult could buy a general admission seat and bring 5 school age kids FREE. Even with that promotion, they struggled to put 30k in the Cotton Bowl.

Unfortunately, we are at that point in our season where SMU students/alumni disappointed JJ by not turning out for an important home game with UCF after a good start. I'm hopeful we have a good turnout Saturday but I'm expecting coach Morris to be more and more disappointed as this season unfolds. I would not expect Ford to be half full but announced attendance should be 18-20k

I watched the Cowboys play the Baltimore Colts with Johnny Unitas and I bet there weren't 7000 people in the Cotton Bowl. They gave away a Cadillac at halftime. SMU was drawing huge crowds at the same time.

The TV view of the bare East stands is embarrassing. The shown attendance is pitiful.

That would be an SMU contingent.

I sat in the east side in the second half. The west side was maybe 60% full. Outside of that there were maybe a few hundred.

A bunch of Big Time recruits too that could make us a Access Bowl candidate-Its a killer to our recruiting to see those empty seats. Don't worry though Chad Morris will get in done despite SMU's "Fans"-then he'll leave and SMU "Fans" will complain that we didn't win 9-10 games and it all starts over again

The attendance is beyond discouraging and embarrassing. The student attendance is a total disgrace.

The attendance was a disgrace but like the raging battle here that will continue forever: we have to put a fun product that can beat P5 teams consistently. Yes it feels like a catch-22, by the time we start beating P5 teams our coach gets snag and regress and therefore no fans will ever show up which means a coach will never stay here. So sadly there's no real solution unless there's a passionate smu alum that's also amazing coach and recruiter who we can snag for life.
