June Jones was crucified for a poor tackling team because he wasn't 'tough' enough on the players, recruited poorly, and didn't believe in full contact practices.
Morris & Malone now?

I equate coaches not teaching tackling to Dexter Manley not being able to read at OSU. A player should already know how to tackle when they reach college level, especially D1. And Manley should have already known how to read. However, if a coach (or teacher) recognizes that a player lacks technique (or how to read) efforts should be made to improve the situation.
