Congratulations for offering the rosiest possible representation of what Chad did, and the most negative presentation of what I said, without any knowledge of either. Bravo.

Didn't Morris lose to Applewhite?

Also Herman did more in one game at UH than Morris has done in 3 years at SMU.

Herman:

Won the AAC
Got 4 and 5 star recruits
Beat Top 5 Oklahoma and Louisville
Won the AAC
Won a major bowl game
Got 25k season tickets sold at UH
Got an IPF built at UH and is actually opening this week

Chad Morris:
Got a few more wins at SMU.... I guess

And yet your program is still no better off than SMU, despite all of Herman’s “success”...oh and you forgot that he lost by 22 to SMU the same season he got those top 5 wins over OU and Louisville. Sad!

With all this bantering back & forth, got to admit the SMU-Houston games have become a great rivalry - whether football or basketball.

And much, if not all, is to do with being outside the bubble of the P5 conferences.
BRING BACK THE GLORY DAYS OF SMU FOOTBALL!!!

For some strange reason, one of the few universities that REFUSE to use their school colors: Harvard Crimson & Yale Blue.

Great rivalries have great attendance.

You can still have a good rivalry without great attendance. Unfortunately, being outside the P5 monopolistic bubble creates a separate issue altogether.

Far,far too much premature coach-jacked elation around here.

Maybe you can have a good rivalry without great attendance (though it's a stretch) but you can't have a great rivalry without great attendance. The great rivalries are about clean, old fashioned hate for the other school and that's why people show up. We can't have one of those with schools on our level because our fanbase and their fanbases are too worried about conference affiliation, weather, game times and other frivolous crap to show up.

Nothing concrete yet though it seems to be a foregone conclusion.

Rumbling in Tally is that Jimbo Fisher may be on the Aggie radar...

Sumlin is due a rather large buyout, but it will happen. This next Aggie game will be an interesting endeavor.

Tennessee and A&M have to have the two most delusional fan bases in college football.

Is that necessarily a bad thing? Given that they support their team by actually showing up in force every game. Isn't that where we want to be at some point? I'd be stoked if our fans were half that delusional....and loyal.
