Hey, I hear that the Rutledge kid is a real player at corner... how many picks do you think he and the pony secondary will have in 2000?

Average for the whole secondary...1.5-2 a game. Jonas will have 4 INT's. That is my prediction.

I agree about Jonas Rutledge - during spring practice, he looked like the best DB out there. (Although I heard there was some debate about whether he'll play corner or safety. True?) Rutledge looks fast and he had a bunch of big hits in the Red/Blue scrimmage. If he's at corner, he and Garrett should be a pretty stout pair.

Hope one or both of them get a pik in the Kansas game. Would be great to give the offense some early field position and points to build a little cushion for their confidence.

Mark it down: Jonas Rutledge will be the best DB we've had since Cornell Parker and Marcello Simmons.
