All I saw was shoeless BUS in the pouring rain stomping up the stairs mumbling.

How in the world did we not fire that guy after the Arizona tweeting.

OMG, he did nothing for years, just stole money.

BUS wrote:Coach Chad Morris shut the door on leaving the SMU Mustangs after this season. He explained that with the momentum of the fine recruits and the actual construction on the indoor facility, SMU is poised for further success. One additional note. Each of his coaches received a 20K raise and are VERY happy at SMU.

totally fake news. brought to you by the SMU daily rumor mill. If hccm is offered to good P5 job at the end of the season he is gone. IMO.

Thank you Red Pony - I thought I made that pretty clear with the footer.

To keep Chad we have to make the assistance take a pay cut to go with him. He is paid well and I think we wants more and better for his staff. That's the kind of man I read him to be. Take care of my family... and he will stay.

Try to SQEEZE the deal to get the most value out of the position.... we are not that prestigious to be able to do that. SMU needs to not only overpay Chad but overpay the staff as well.

And hire me as Marketing dude. I'll wear shoes to every event!

No, that night/Knight it was clear. Later that week I think he had a run in with girl reporter at DMN.

you do realize that P5 assistants are now paid in the multi-hundreds of thousands of dollars-even millions of dollars per year for top coordinators. $20,000 raises aren't going to cut it. Here's a 2017 Assistant Coach Database-12 Assistants already get over a Million a year. Damn even Phil Bennett was getting $1.2 Million from Baylor as of last year--and we all know more about football than him
