Normally yes they would crush us - but they are a mess at the moment. The Big 12 is down this year and they still look like dog doo.

Bahamas Bowl is set with UAB vs Ohio. I thought we had a tie in to this one but guess not.

Congrats to UAB coming back from the dead to enter bowldom.

I don't think you understand how good UT's defense is. They should have also beat OSU and USC. They have held every opponent under 30 points this year. They would get turnovers and their offense would get in the end zone a fair bit against our defense.

Bleacher Report has SMU vs. Texas Tech in Birmingham.

Um, no. That would bad for us trying to get to 8 wins that we need to be able to point to. They are way to physical for us. Don't say Tech either as they would throw for 1,000 yds against us.

Would love to play any former SWC team, Tech included. Got to play in those and win if you want respect.

Let’s see. Teams that would not throw for a bunch of yards against us. Air Force, Army, Navy (already played) and Georgia Tech.

Any p5 opponent would be great. I’d actually like to see us play james madison again. Can we enter the fcs playoff instead?

UT would crush us like a grape. Why is this scenario so exciting to some on this board?

Based on what? The same UT that gave up 27 points to Kansas? That just lost to one of the worst Tech teams in recent memory?

A lot of times bowl games are won by the team that is more hyped or excited to be there. You really think Texas would be "up" for a game against SMU? An SMU win over Texas would be huge for the program and for HCCM. That said, it isn't going to happen. Texas is going to the Texas Bowl. We might get Tech in Birmingham though.

Sagarin Ratings:
Texas #28
SMU #70

StallionsModelT wouldn't Texas be favored by 2 touchdowns over us?

You need a Passport to attend that game so its wise to go ahead and nail down the matchup
