UA has eleven (11) commits per the "done deal" link previously posted in at least one other thread.

My memory is that CM honored commits to the JJ regime when he came to SMU. Whether or not I have that right and depending on the number of openings UA has otherwise it figures we'll loose some or most of the commits that he likes.

Didn’t Woods sign a financial aid agreement so he could enroll early? Aren’t those binding commitments?

Recruits can back out of those FA agreements before enrolling.

Each commit has 4 options - (1) Chad wants them at UA and has room to bring them in so they change commit to UA - probably very few in this category, (2) they have a relationship with one of the position coaches and still stay with SMU commitment - hopefully a ton in this category, (3) they test the waters and de-commit/commit when/if they find something better out there, and (4) new SMU coach does not honor commit so they have to look elsewhere

I'll let the KIAs breakdown each commit to categorize w/ probabilities.

It’s a good argument not to have your coach be your strongest recruiter...get an x’s and o’s guy and surround him by recruiters...kind of like June Jones...huh

For those who are concerned about recruits, I highly recommend following on twitter: @NikkiChavanelle. She's reporting on recruits who are staying or no commenting:

So far:

1) QB Commit Brown1Will - "100% committed to SMU and congrats to Coach Morris"

Chad Morris is taking Coach Stepp (WR) with him which most likely Mike Woods is gone.

2) Friendswood G (Maxyar1172) will look to SMU as being his school but not 100% it sounds like.

3) Saints Safety (JCrispress) is 100 committed to SMU

4) Angleton RB (twilliams) is sticking with SMU

Ben Hicks is on board according to Twitter-if he graduate transferred after this his 3rd year-we'd really be in trouble next year

that may happen anyway....we better get a guy hired by the end of the weekend or things will begin to go south.....hurry up and hire one of the following guys...Todd Graham, Mack Brown, Willie Fritz, Les Miles, or Kevin Sumlin...every day that passes is lost opportunity....(although Sumlin may be out of our reach)

Interesting:
"Sumlin was fired Nov. 26 after six seasons with the Aggies. Because he was fired for convenience, Texas A&M is on the hook to pay the full $10.4 million he is owed on his old contract. There was reportedly no language written within the contract that would potentially offset the cost of what Sumlin is owed. Meaning even if he gets a new job, Texas A&M must still pay him the full amount".

Have to assume Chad will make a run at and offer any of our commits who he thinks can help at Arkansas but also have to remember from his days at Clemson he has relationships in Florida and Georgia as well as Texas and you can bet he and his staff will take recruiting up a notch at Arkansas. Biggest concern is that he will take all of our best assistants and impact that might have on this class.

I love Ben Hicks response and definitely a leader: “It's been real. Happy for Coach Morris and his family, but I'll go to the end of the earth for my guys and Coach Traylor.“
