Oregon did that by hiring Mark Helfrich after Chip Kelley left and as the talent in the program drained out of the program over 3-4 years Oregon program bottomed out at 4-8

Let's face it...no matter who takes this job the key will be to maintain recruiting at the level Chad & Co were able to recruit. We aren't going to sway many with more attractive P5 options, but need to get a few and really need to find more DITR types. We have to be able to keep those 3 star Texas kids home rather than losing them to the lower tier P5 programs.
