New SMU football head coach Sonny Dykes and quarterback Ben Hicks met the media Thursday to discuss the Mustangs' preparation for next week's Frisco Bowl, their adjustment to having a new coach, how Hicks is helping his new coach learn the SMU offense and who will call plays in the bowl game.

Both interviews make me feel better. Hicks is a very mature young man and I hope that he has a good game.
SD is keeping all the balls in the air as he juggles 6 things.

Both want to play well for the guys on the team.

Anyone else notice that coach said, he doesn't plan on signing all of our commitments next Wednesday. He's tapping the brakes, until the defensive staff can evaluate would be my guess.

Good golly it's gotta be uber-awkward working with the staff that will be gone immediately following the bowl.

I think everyone in this business knows the drill. There is always the possibility Dykes might retain someone from this staff so they have an opportunity to audition for a spot on his staff, but you can bet these guys are networking as they probably do in every off-season
