I was at the game and didn't see that but who knows. I didn't see Sonny too involved in much.

Either way, getting publicly embarrassed is part of the SMU experience.

Hasn't the last game of every season under chad the lad been a rout?

Not faulting the GAs that had the sad job of putting together an offensive plan. They just don't have the knowleged and skills yet.

Coaching makes a difference putting a plan together and preparing a team to execute. It is painful to watch these kids suffer because there wasn't a single offensive coach that stayed to coach them.

We saw the same thing when we played Pitt in Birmingham. They only had 4 coaches and they simpley couldn't put together a complete plan.

BINGO - We have a winner!

Enough said!!!

Not really.

That was a 6 win Pitt team that had 2 of its victories against Buffalo and Maine.

We won 8 games that year, including an 11-2 TCU win on the road.

SMU 28 Pitt 6 is a lot different than LA Tech 51 SMU 10.

We got manhandled tonight in virtually every phase of the game.

I agree with a lot of what ponyte says, but that doesn’t explain 51-10.

We are lucky if Dykes doesn’t quit after that bowl performance

I think Dykes might just throw out the tape on that game outside of making note of who didn’t give 100% effort. Not really fair to critique players on actual performance when they have had 3 coaches in 2 weeks. Watch film on all the other games and see what you have in the spring

There was a shot of them talking and Hicks had a petulant expression on his face. But since Hicks pretty much always has that petulant expression, the conversation could've been about anything.

I didn’t realize we had such a mass exodus on the coaching staff so apologies for my ignorance on the interim thing. I still can’t believe how sloppy we were.

Here’s to a successful 2018. Merry Christmas all

finishing off this recruiting class with some impact guys, off-season and spring ball more critical than ever to avoid a big step backwards

This game was a failure of the players showing up ready to play , thinking they would have an easy win and then failure to execute the plays. Remove Dykes from this scene as he should not have even attempted to do any coaching in the game, but felt compelled to try and show the team he was with them. We had the benefit of the same situation a few year back in the Pitt bowl game when they only had 4 coaches at the game.
