Lol! Ranked last in the SEC and ranked 70th in the country, seems like chad is making an absolute splash already.

You cannot compare classes after early signing. Arkansas chose to sign 7 players while evaluating what they need for the February period. Georgia for instance signed 23. The rankings will be skewed until after the February period.

Not saying Arkansas will have a great class, just that now is not an even comparison time.

They already given out about 45 offers-as usual they are working their asses off. They have already beaten Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee for a recruit, have flipped a North Carolina commitment, leading for a Mississippi St. commit, flipped Mike Woods who had a bunch of P5 offers and rated higher than any SMU recruit, fighting Notre Dame for a recruit and look in great position to flip a TCU recruit and several Aggie recruit among many others. I'd put a cork in that Champagne bottle until signing date because Arkansas is lining up prospects in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and the rest of SEC footprint. They are getting an outstanding reception especially in Texas and are the new big factor in Texas recruiting from now on. Sit back and watch especially in 2019

11 Arky commitments so far. They have an average 247 player rating of 86.6 which is the same as #23 Baylor. However, the Bears have 23 commitments. If the Hogs can keep the average player rating at current levels, they will improve dramatically. Chad probably follows the script of Herman, Fisher (Aggy) and Dykes (?) with fewer the max number of signees in this class. Then bring in talented JUCOs and early enrollees next January to count against the '18 class.

Can't judge Dykes or Morris on this class. Morris did rather well when he took over at SMU three years ago after a very bare class left by June.

Why do you think Dykes allowed Williams, Keys, and Ellison to sign early and nobody else? Do you think he just liked those kids better...or was it because they are early enrollees?

I have no doubt that Morris will kick [deleted] in February...would bet they bump into the 30-40's in class rankings...and look out next year!!!

Neither Williams nor Keys are early enrollees--haven't heard about Ellison since he just came into the picture last week. The only early enrollee that I know of is QB William Brown and the JUCOs

It ain’t gonna do anybody any good rooting against him.

Chad’s gone, let him go and move on.

I don't get rooting against him. He could have had a couple more signature wins and recruited better for us (no reason we shouldn't be number one or two in The ACC) - but he basically did what he was paid (well) to do. Rooting against him just makes you seem small.

There are about 8,000 reasons why SMU can not bring in a Top 2 Class in the AAC--recruits don't want to play in an empty stadium. Ron Meyer never recruited in the top half of the SWC until Mustang Mania filled up the stadium

Does that explanation not apply to USF? Image

USF was recruiting off 37,539 average attendance in 2016--looks like they averaged about 30,000 this year in a 66,000 seat stadium--but sure if they get 8,000 real life people into their stands when recruits visit it will similarly hurt their recruiting

Can you please elaborate on the several Aggie recruits that Chad has great position to flip from Jimbo Fisher?

Its behind an 247 paywall but Arkansas has offered all 5 of the Aggy commitments that have not signed. If you have 247 subscription you can go to the Arkansas site and read-just can't post
