Sonny's staff/assistants

Postby Charleston Pony » Tue Jan 02, 2018 8:55 am

Time to start a thread devoted to Sonny completing his staff? Hopefully he gets everyone in place by the end of this week and then let's get on with finishing out this recruiting class.

CP- agree. The bowl games are essentially over - time he starts naming his staff so they can get ready to hit the road recruiting.

They are on a dead period for a few more days (I think it is next Monday). We should have a our staff in place before then.

Still think it will be after the Coaches Convention (after NC Game). All of the players (coaches actually) will be in one place to interview. Recruiting will take place after the convention. An extra week won't matter in terms of recruiting and allows them to get a full staff hired.

He should announce who is in by weeks end regardless. There is a ton of activity that can happen before the dead period is over. Most of the meaningful contact is between coaches and high school coaches anyway.

They are taking thier time finding the right people - there is no reason to rush until the dead period ends.

Based on what I’ve seen to date, I have no worries at all. I think Sonny is doing a great job on his selections. The lack of GA’s being elevated doesn’t disappoint either.
