Yes, a fantastic article about a man I'm glad I had to chance to watch, even if only on TV.

Best of good fortune to him going forward.

At least one writer's mock draft has Courtland going at # 5 in this draft:

Thanks for sharing the article.

God bless you Courtland. I know that you will be a huge success wherever you go
because of your work ethic and your service orientation.

It has been very exciting to watch you play football, hear your comments, and to learn
more about you.

I wish we had a team full of Courtlands to lead the way into the future.

JJ would have cut him if HCCM didn't come along.

Courtland recruited himself to SMU. Literally.

He called SMU up and asked if he could come here because he wanted to stay in Texas and didn't have any other options. No one on Jones lazy [deleted] staff ever recruited him. It's literally the same thing that happened to Daniel Gresham, who was the highest rated kid Jones ever got that showed up to campus (bummed he had to be medicalled). They were even in the same class!

Let's not go crazy with this revisionist history.

"The week before signing day, SMU came to Brenham in a scramble. One of its commitments had backed out, and the Mustangs were looking to fill the spot."

“BYU was going to be a bit much on momma, losing her baby that far away,” said Courtland’s mother, Phelicia Marshall. “SMU was a prayer answered. It was, ‘Send us a good school, a close school, here in Texas.’ SMU came the week before signing day and we went up for a visit that weekend.”

You might want to actually read the article. Yours is the revisionist history it appears.

Let's see if ANY of the Morris recruits ever make it to the NFL? (other than Quinn/the transfer)

Chad Morris. A legend in his own mind. Say it long enough and you'll believe it.
