Y'all are hopeless. When has SMU announced a building publically and not built it?

That's right - NEVER.

Bunch of pearl clutching ninnies.

Maybe, just maybe, it's a whole lot of fun trolling our own fan base.

Or maybe it's just expected to have a kick in the sack here and there.

Referring to COC interrupting the Morris-rebuilding, not the IPF building. But I guess if Jones promised and pulled funding, then what you say is true. Unfortunate coincidence in words.

I still think it is interesting that a COC member could’ve opened the door for Morris to leave.

Cool. We can call it the Miller Event Center or something.

The other thread has a Dallas morning news link about hiring Sonny Dykes. Part two of that interview has lots of IPF info. Sounds like Ricky and the boys are still trying to figure out how to design it.

Space is too small for an IPF plain and simple. Building will over power heart of campus and inside will be too small to function as a full football field and as a multi-sports facility. Football is not the only sport at SMU so a proper facility should also service soccer and track at a minimum.

Thank you, CoC member.

The will just say that football can practice on field turf. The band can march on field turf. Track can run 40yard dashes on field turf. Soccer can kick balls on field turf. Lacrosse can lacrosse on field turf. Fitness groups from Dedman can do metcons on field turf.

Multi-sports facility: MISSION ACCOMPLISHED

It is not about turf; it is about space.

Understood. We used our premium space for the Tennis Complex and the Bush Library walking trails and bordering intramural lacrosse/tennis courts.
