Do we consider 8 returning starters from one of the worst defenses in the nation a positive thing?

We have about 25 returning Defensive Lettermen +Richard Moore plus 2 Defensive JUCOs + a bunch of redshirts. The Defense is still young but that's a pretty high number of kids to fill out 11 positions

Hopefully experience will be meaningful...can't help but remember those 1st 2 post-death penalty recruiting classes that lost to Houston 95-21 as frosh but came back as probably the largest senior class in SMU football history and beat the Cougs for Homecoming.

I’m excited to see which players that redshirted last year get significant playing time in 2018

4 wins. 6 would be HUGE.

I agree; 6 wins will be a sign of real progress. I'm not sure last year's team could have won 6 games with the 2018 schedule.

I won't be able to make a single game on this schedule, every game is either on the wrong day or the wrong time for me.

I see six wins on this schedule, especially if SMU beats North Texas in Denton.

I think I see 6 wins with a tougher schedule than last year. Was pleasantly surprised looking at the DMN breakdown of defensive line. Some potential there, let's see if new DC can coach them up.
