Great atmosphere but hasn't been that way long enough to be Iconic in my mind. Would put Penn State higher on my list. No mention of Legion Field in Alabama? Every bit the dump the Cotton Bowl was but site of some classics through the years.

Penn State is in the mix for sure...but so hard for me to pick them in anything since they ripped us off in Pony Express's undefeated season; plus hiding pedophile activity. Not a Penn State fan!

One other to consider is Navy...midshipmen march on, flyover, and great tailgate environment.

Looking forward to the day Ford is mentioned in a thread like this on other schools' boards.

A home Navy game with the Midshipmen marching in has been mentioned. A home Aggie game at Kyle Field was similar back in the old all male, all military (almost) days with the entry of the Corp - except there were a lot more of them. I say almost because there were a few "non-reg" students who were not in the ROTC. Also, at Fayetteville, to hear "Woo Pig, Sooie," and "We don't give a damn for the whole state of Texas," was memorable.

Nothing beats the Rose Bowl. Incredible experience.

USC's coliseum is a dump but very cool. Would really like to see a Penn St whiteout game in person, Clemson at night, and even Oregon. I think Washington is very underrated. Loud and right on the water

The Coliseum for a USC game.

WV is a terrible stadium with no personality or unique setting. Concrete jungle built into the side of a hill with an ugly army green turf. Fans are great.

Michie Stadium at Army is one of the most beautiful settings in college football. Stadium is located on the hill overlooking the academy and Hudson River. Spectacular setting in the fall when the leaves are turning and the upper deck looks over the river and Hudson Valley. Stadium has excellent sight lines and the Army traditions and fly overs are memorable.

Carrier Dome - Syracuse - only indoor on campus D1 home field - plus they drop 30K for basketball games - and major concerts - stones, dead, etc.
