Wow! Have the Mustangs ever had this many picks in a draft?
What is the AAC total?

The most in one year was in 1949, when seven Mustangs were drafted, led by Doak Walker.

The most recent class with more than this year was 2012, when Josh LeRibeus, Taylor Thompson, Richard Crawford and Kelvin Beachum all got drafted.

Really happy to see Lawler drafted! He reminds me of a Zach Line type of character on defense. With his work ethic, he should see a few seasons in the league!

Surprised Quinn wasn’t drafted earlier.

All three are in great places. Interesting watch if Lawler is asked to bulk up to be a 3-4 end or get lighter to be an OLB in that scheme. I think his motor and physicality could make him a very solid 3-4 DE.

Nice defensive line to join, with Aaron Donald and Ndamukong Suh in the middle.

I disagree that this is good for Trey. If he were going to drop that far it would have been better to be out of the draft. As a free agent he would have the opportunity to look for the team that had a need for a slot receiver and negotiate accordingly. I think he will do fine with the Redskins, but wish he had the chance to explore more options having dropped so low. He is a gem stone and several years from now people are going to be asking why he was not taken earlier.

Getting drafted means significantly better money, and the redskins are a good landing spot. They have a veteran quarterback and terrible receivers. He'll have every chance to succeed.
