Defensive Leaders

Postby Jackets N Pones » Thu Aug 16, 2018 4:27 pm

I will be honest I do not know much about the D this year. Who are you picking to lead the team in:

1. Sacks

2. Tackles

3. INTs (Wyatt obvious answer here, but just thought I'd throw that in)

The D is a mystery to me right now. Sonny has brought in some help but I don't know where or how good they were at their last university.

I am pretty confident that the offense will score, my concern is the lack of effort put into the Defense by red hog. Combination of Red Bull and Hog boy.

From what I hear the team is enjoying the new coaching style and the teaching part of this staff.

As the D goes, so will our season.

D coordinator Kane was hella good in his last job. He will bring some good defensive coaching and is an upgrade over Malone.

Just googled and saw Malone got a job at Mississippi State as an analyst and consultant. Good on him.

Sacks - Scott. I liked what I saw in the spring, and I think teams will have to focus on the kid from Cal.

Tackles - Moore. Bordano 2.0, he is all over the place and will stay on the field on passing downs. He cleans up the plays that Onu got to last year, so our safeties will actually get to play safety.

Int - Wyatt. With the JUCO and Baylor transfer on the other side, teams are going to throw to Wyatt more frequently, which will give him the chance to make more plays than last year. Additional Safety help will also allow him to play more aggressively.
