Navy Game Weather60% chance of scattered thunderstorms.
No more weather delays please! C-ya @ Milos!
Re: Navy Game Weathernice....now the weather shows a high of only 82 on Saturday so that should mean most of the Navy game will be played in the 70's.
C-ya @ Milos!
Re: Navy Game WeatherThe hope is for late afternoon storms to build. Breakfast on the 'vard and the game should be decent weather.
Re: Navy Game Weather
yes lets hope so....temp forecast keeps getting better, but rain chance seems to be increasing. 65% chance of rain around 8AM.....56% chance of rain near kickoff time Now that they have added the word "thunderstorm" lets pray for no delays if there is another 90 minute lightning delay I am headed straight to Milos C-ya @ Milos!
Re: Navy Game WeatherThe high humidity...could make it seem like a steam bath.
Re: Navy Game Weatherweather must be serious....just got this Tiff Treats cancellation due to weather
C-ya @ Milos!
Re: Navy Game WeatherA ton of Friday night high school games are being moved to Thursday.
I am hopeful we don't have to deal with another weather delay on Saturday.
Re: Navy Game Weatherif it's raining I wonder if they can/will do the pre-game fly-over? I enjoy that.
C-ya @ Milos!
Re: Navy Game WeatherI think it's gonna rain.
We are doomed.
Re: Navy Game WeatherC-ya @ Milos!
Re: Navy Game WeatherYes, the weather looks like it is going to be a disaster.
Re: Navy Game WeatherIf it rains, Advantage Navy
Re: Navy Game WeatherI think rain (with no wind) favors us. We run the ball straight ahead and throw short passes. Navy relies on speed and a lot of ball handling with fakes, pitches and misdirection. Lots of chances for the ball on the ground. If it is a steady rain, which is what I read for game time, I think we can do well.
All those who believe in psycho kinesis, raise my hand
Re: Navy Game Weather
but mrydel doesn't Navy play in this weather often? of course this year we do too....lol C-ya @ Milos!
Re: Navy Game Weatherthe key distinction is wet ball because that means its raining. Just wet conditions on a good turf like Ford is going to be better for a team with better athletes. But Navy has one of the best athletes in the Country who will touch the ball on about 95% of their plays-who says he has to pitch the ball-he rarely does. See TCU game where they kicked our butts every time rain stopped and field dried out. Wet ball/rain makes it very difficult to pass/catch as neither SMU/TCU could complete a pass over about 8 yards until it dried out a bit.
