SMU linebacker Kyran Mitchell and offensive tackle Jaylon Thomas visited with PonyFans.com as the Mustangs get ready for Saturday's game at Tulane. Mitchell reflected on his game-saving tackle when the Mustangs and Green Wave met last year, and talked about how the Mustangs have to defend Tulane's dual-quarterback offense, while Thomas discussed his emotions as he prepares for his first college start.

Looks like Jaylon will be starting in what will be only his 2nd college game. Will be interesting to see how he does and whether Sonny decides to burn his RS or if he just plays in 2 more games this season.

As PP pointed out in an different thread, the staff has been talking about him for quite a while. I don't think they will take a step back from this. The idea I would guess is to have him and Livingston as our bookend tackles next season.
