Memphis game Attendance?

Friday night 8:00pm game, temps in the low 40's, Highland Park playing a home playoff game. How do we keep this, from being a national joke on ESPN2? Close off upper decks and endzone? Close off everything but the eastside lower bowl, from goal line to goal line?

We really should have the east side sit in the lower sections only.

SMU cries about attendance but has 2 Friday night games. Can't build a fan base this way.

We all know that attendance will suck. Not only because it’s a Friday night game but the fact it’s late in the season. We are 5-5 which means no outside potential fan cares and are student base is a joke. Tough situation all around. Hoping for a miracle but it would be great if all alums could be there but we aren’t going to get even fair weather fans at 5-5.

So SMU is depending on Highland Park High School for attendance? That would be ridiculous if true.

Hoping for 26-28K in attendance, but 14-16 K is probably more realistic with our fan base. Could this be like it was in 2011 for June Jones after the miraculous TCU win if the stadium is barely half full with regards to Sonny being pissed that the stadium isn't full after a recent win over a top 25 team and SMU leading it's division? Hopefully he's smarter than that with regards to our fans.

I think Sonny knows our program well enough not to let that bother him.

Which game has high attendance - SMU vs Memphis or Highland Park vs Independence?

2011 was June's fourth season and that team started 5-1, June's frustration had been building for awhile. Sonny isn't anywhere near that point, if things keep trending up he might not have a fourth season here.

Unless SMU has some super secret marketing plan, which we all doubt, I predict less than 10,000 actual fans in the stadium. Based on Recent history, could be like 7,000. Attention SMU administration… if you do have invited guest to Ford Stadium, for heaven sakes, put them in the lower east bowl. It doesn't do any good, to have these invited groups in the upper sections, where they are isolated and undetectable by the TV cameras.
